Planning a wedding abroad should feel exciting, not overwhelming. We specialise in intimate weddings and celebrations of up to 25 guests, creating personal, tailor-made experiences for couples who want something meaningful, relaxed and entirely their own.

From choosing the right location and navigating the legal formalities to coordinating your ceremony, flowers, photography and everything in between, we take care of the details so you can focus on enjoying the experience.

With a background in wedding photography and years of local experience, we bring a photographer’s eye to the planning process too; helping you choose locations, timing and details that not only feel right on the day, but look beautiful in the photographs.

Whether you’re planning a wedding for two, an intimate celebration with your closest family, or a vow renewal surrounded by the people you love, we’ll help you create a day that feels personal, natural and true to you.

Civil Weddings

Getting legally married in Mauritius is actually easier than you think!

All required documents should be sent to us at least 6 – 8 weeks before your desired wedding date.

. Documents Required:‍ ‍

Copies of the first three pages of your passports.
International birth certificates (issued no more than 3 months before your wedding date).
Passports valid for at least 6 months from your arrival in Mauritius.

Additional Information (if applicable):

If divorced: the international marriage certificate from the previous marriage and a certified copy of the divorce decree, either in English or French
If widowed: your late spouse’s marriage certificate and death certificate, either in English or French
If either of you has changed your birth name: documentation proving the name change.
If adopted: relevant documents pertaining to your adoption.

Important points to note: Bring ALL original documents for validation in Mauritius. For those who do not speak or understand English or French, a translator will be required.

Two witnesses are required to sign the marriage certificate. If it’s just you and your partner, we can arrange witnesses for you.

For French foreigners, we recommend reaching out to us at least 6 months prior to the intended wedding date, as additional verifications with the French Embassy in Mauritius are required.

Legal formalities:

At least 1-2 working days before the wedding, we will visit the main Civil Office in Port-Louis for paper verification.
After verification, we will proceed to the regional registry office, where the banns will be posted for one working day (Monday to Friday).
The day after your wedding, the Registrar will issue the official marriage certificate.
We will arrange for the ‘Apostille’ at the Prime Minister’s Office, which takes about 4-6 working days.

Here’s how we can help:

We process and forward all documents to the relevant authorities upon receipt.
We handle the process for the fees associated with civil marriage and registration.
All administrative fees for wedding documentation is included in our services. Handling of the costs for publishing the banns at your destination.
We arrange transfers between your accommodation, the main registry office in Port Louis, and the local registry office.
We personally deliver and collect documents from the authorities.
Deliver the apostille from the Prime Minister’s Office, either to your residence in Mauritius or via post if you have already departed.

Symbolic Weddings

A symbolic wedding gives you the freedom to celebrate your commitment without the legal formalities. It’s ideal for couples who want a meaningful ceremony in Mauritius, whether it’s just the two of you, an intimate gathering with family, or a small celebration with close friends.

Because there are no legal requirements, the ceremony can be completely personal. You can exchange your own vows, invite someone special to speak, include a meaningful ritual, or simply have a ceremony focused on the words and promises that matter to you. We’ll help you shape the ceremony around your relationship rather than fitting you into a set format.

Ceremonies can be conducted in English or French, and we can arrange officiants in German, Italian, Polish and other languages where required. Before the day, we’ll take the time to understand your relationship, your personalities and what you would like the ceremony to feel like, then create a personalised ceremony script for you.

Renewal of Vows

A vow renewal is a chance to pause, look back at everything you’ve built together and celebrate the life you share. Whether you’re marking an anniversary, a milestone or simply want to reaffirm your commitment to one another, the ceremony is centred on your journey as a couple.

There are no formal requirements, so you can make the celebration as intimate or as personal as you wish. It might be just the two of you on the beach at sunset, a quiet ceremony in a private villa, or a small gathering with your closest family and friends. We’ll help you choose a setting that feels right and create a ceremony that reflects your relationship.

You may want to exchange new vows, share a few words about the years you’ve spent together, or include your children and loved ones in the ceremony. Before the day, we’ll take the time to understand your story and what you want the renewal to mean to you, then shape the ceremony and coordinate the details around it.

Our role is to make the experience feel effortless and personal, giving you the space to focus on each other and the reason you’re celebrating in the first place.

Wedding Proposal

The ring is secured. You’ve somehow managed to convince your partner to get her nails done. The flights are booked, and you’ve decided that Mauritius is where you want to ask the question.

Now comes the tricky part: how do you actually make it happen?

Where should you propose? At the beach, during sunset, somewhere with a view? How do you get your partner there without making them suspicious? What about flowers, champagne, music or a photographer hiding somewhere nearby? And how do you make sure everything happens at exactly the right moment?
