We specialise in intimate weddings with no more than 25 guests, giving you a truly personal, tailor-made experience where every detail is thoughtfully taken care of. From the first idea to the final toast, we’re here to guide you, support you, and make sure you feel completely looked after, as if your whole day is being orchestrated just for you.

Civil Weddings

Getting legally married in Mauritius is actually easier than you think!

All required documents should be sent to us at least 6 – 8 weeks before your desired wedding date.

. Documents Required:

Copies of the first three pages of your passports.
International birth certificates (issued no more than 3 months before your wedding date).
Passports valid for at least 6 months from your arrival in Mauritius.

Additional Information (if applicable):

If divorced: the international marriage certificate from the previous marriage and a certified copy of the divorce decree, either in English or French
If widowed: your late spouse’s marriage certificate and death certificate, either in English or French
If either of you has changed your birth name: documentation proving the name change.
If adopted: relevant documents pertaining to your adoption.

Important points to note: Bring ALL original documents for validation in Mauritius. For those who do not speak or understand English or French, a translator will be required.

Two witnesses are required to sign the marriage certificate. If it’s just you and your partner, we can arrange witnesses for you.

For French foreigners, we recommend reaching out to us at least 3 to 6 months prior to the intended wedding date, as additional verifications with the French Embassy in Mauritius are required.

Legal formalities:

At least 1-2 working days before the wedding, we will visit the main Civil Office in Port-Louis for paper verification.
After verification, we will proceed to the regional registry office, where the banns will be posted for one working day (Monday to Friday).
The day after your wedding, the Registrar will issue the official marriage certificate.
We will arrange for the ‘Apostille’ at the Prime Minister’s Office, which takes about 4-6 working days.

Here’s how we can help:

We process and forward all documents to the relevant authorities upon receipt.
We handle the process for the fees associated with civil marriage and registration.
All administrative fees for wedding documentation is included in our services. Handling of the costs for publishing the banns at your destination.
We arrange transfers between your accommodation, the main registry office in Port Louis, and the local registry office.
We personally deliver and collect documents from the authorities.
Deliver the apostille from the Prime Minister’s Office, either to your residence in Mauritius or via post if you have already departed.
