Hi, I’m Nooreen!

I’ve been working in the wedding industry for over 10 years, but my journey into wedding planning wasn’t exactly planned.

I have a Master’s in Marketing and started my career in the corporate world. It didn’t take long for me to realise that spreadsheets and meetings weren’t quite where I wanted to spend my days. My real introduction to weddings came through my husband, who is a photographer. I started assisting him at weddings, and somewhere between the cameras, the timelines and the quiet moments happening behind the scenes, I discovered that I loved being part of what made a wedding come together.

Photography taught me to look at weddings differently. I learned to notice the light, the surroundings, the little in-between moments and the importance of giving couples enough time to actually experience their day rather than rushing from one photo opportunity to the next.

Working in video taught me something else: the value of hearing a loved one’s voice years later. The sound of your partner saying their vows, your parents giving a speech, or the laughter of someone who may no longer be there can become just as precious as the photographs themselves. It’s one of the reasons I care so much about creating a wedding that isn't simply beautiful on the day, but meaningful to look back on years later.

Today, I specialise in intimate weddings and celebrations, typically for up to 25 guests. I love working with smaller groups because it allows us to focus on the people who matter most and create something that genuinely reflects the couple, rather than following a formula.

Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of working with couples from all over the world ; British, German, French, Austrian, Italian, Czech, South African, Indian and many more each bringing their own traditions, personalities and ideas to Mauritius. Helping couples navigate the practical side of getting married abroad while creating a celebration that feels completely their own is what I enjoy most about my work.

And because I still have a photographer’s eye, I’m always thinking beyond the logistics. Where will the light be? How will the location look at that time of day? Have we allowed enough time to actually enjoy the moment? Will the day feel natural rather than staged? These little details can make a surprisingly big difference.

I speak English and French, as well as basic German, Hindi and Urdu, and I work with couples in a number of other languages through our trusted local network.

When I’m not planning weddings, you’ll usually find me travelling, discovering good food, or behind a camera myself.

For me, the best weddings aren't necessarily the biggest or most elaborate. They’re the ones where, years later, you can still remember exactly how it felt to be there.
